Giants Park| The 30th International Korea Piano Festival 국제 한국 피아노 페스티벌

The International Korea Piano Festival was established in 1992, when solo piano recitals were a rare event in the country. Now in its 30 edition, the festival has become a highlight of the international music calendar and is today Asia’s premier piano festival.

IKPF takes the unique approach of presenting recitals by four different pianists over a series of consecutive evenings. Past editions of the festival have featured the virtuosos Martha Argerich, Nelson Freire, Yuja Wang, Stephen Kovacevich, Nikolai Demidenko, Pascal Rogé, Piotr Anderszewski, Stephen Hough, Benjamin Grosvenor, Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, Lars Vogt and Angela Hewitt, among others.

The festival is organised by Korea Sy Symphony Orchestra. The 2021 edition will be held by online Format this years in 22-28 May and features Philip Yang, Karen Karana Tse, Giants Park and Jeremy Haos.

Gaints Park

Gaints Park young jazz pianist from Korea. When she was only three years old, Gaints started playing tunes on a family piano. Three years later, she enrolled a music school. In her youth, she wished to become a metal guitarist, but she didn’t pursue that career.When she was nine years old,Gaints began studying jazz. But her desire was to do something new and adventurous. She started incorporating folk melodies from her region into jazz compositions, especially improvisations.
